Today, I wanted to get to know Claude a little bit better.
So I asked Claude to assess itself and identify things it excels at, things it struggles with, etc.

I threw that last part in as a curiosity to see how well Claude switched tasks to something completely unrelated.

Yup, that feels like Claude to me.

Are you going to remember that shrimp fact?
I’m 50/50.
For anyone that wants to know more about the mantis shrimp, you can visit its wikipedia page here.
And for those that don’t, here is the picture, because wow, this thing is gorgeous!

Reading Claude’s assessment of itself, I was not really surprised.
I see it.
Limitation 1: Inability to collect real time data and access the internet.
ChatGPT’s latest AI has the ability to access the internet, so I expect Claude cannot be far behind on that.
And to be quite honest. I have been using Claude for several months now and it has never been an issue. I have never even thought about it, if I am being honest.
Limitation 2: No cross conversation memory.
I cannot imagine this feature is far off either, with competition already there.
My biggest fear when using Claude, hitting the chat limit and having to start a new chat.
But wait, I wasn’t done.
Can I ask one more question?
We’ve all been there.
But as far as strengths go, I was nodding as I read Claude’s take on itself.
I do think Claude is and does all of these things.
