For today’s 5 Minutes w AI, Claude and I created a ramen broth that I can’t wait to make.
But first, I had to reject a few activities it initially proposed to me.

Claude took this prompt and created a word play game.
I played the game, but got bored pretty quickly.
So I went back to Claude a few additional times.

Claude offered a back and forth collaborative micro-story.

Claude then offered something it called “AI Art Critic”. I considered it for a moment be decided my heart wasn’t in it for the moment.

And then we arrived at something that I was like “hell yeah!”

I considered what food I wanted to remix. And it hit me.

To be honest, I pondered these three suggested ramens variations for a few minutes.
I considered doing all of them and at moments they were each my favorite.
But I love umami and I know a mushroom broth would be full of umami.

I still needed a recipe, but I wanted to first explore experimenting with the broth composition.

After spending half of 2018 living in Japan, I deeply love ramen. And I have tasted many varieties, so I have an idea of what they can be. But to pick a consistency and flavor profile for this broth, I knew what I wanted to do.

MMMMMmmm, I could taste it.

I opted out of the pine needle tea, but I found it quite interesting to learn about it. I will keep my eyes open for pin needles to taste this in the future!
And I opted out of the proposed noodles. The broth is already complicated enough, I will buy a high quality noodle ramen noodle at the grocery store.

After reading the optional garnishes, I needed just one more thing.

Thanks, Claude! A good ramen has a good ramen egg — that is key.
Well, it is cold where I live right now, so this is a great time to try this recipe.
Will report back when I do!
And let me know if you try it too!
