I didn’t actual use AI in this story. There are no prompts.
But I did get to consider AI through a different lens for a short while.
The other day, I saw a stranger using Claude at a local wifi hotspot.
That was the first time I had ever seen anyone else using Claude. And further, I had never had a conversation about Claude with another person.
So, I felt compelled to see if a conversation might be possible.
I interrupted with wave and a smile. And then, I see you are using Claude…
The guy immediately perked up, and we chatted from there.
It was a fun conversation.
It was fun talking to another person about Claude.
I sensed this stranger may have felt the same way.
I was asking him about what he uses Claude for? And then why Claude for him? And does he dabbles with other AIs?
He uses Claude for a lot of things.
We really vibed when we discovered we had both built business plans using Claude.
The conversation was mostly positive, at times he went a little dark — particularly when talking about AI corporate ownership and influencers.
I wasn’t really sure what to think at that point. He had presented me with ideas that I had never before considered. It felt funny.
And so I moved on to other topics.
He uses Claude because he believes it is the most trustworthy AI. i.e. the purest LLM without stakeholder bias.
I had never considered that either. But I agreed that I felt a little more trust with Claude, when compared to some of the other AI GPTs, more so in the sense of AI accountability in fact checking.
He told me he has of course used several other AIs, ChatGPT, etc., but Claude was his go-to on nearly every occasion.
I agreed.
I smiled, I had made a Claude friend. And I walked away pretty jazzed.
